Ignite the wildness inside of you and find the courage to be that which you most naturally already ARE, not what you SHOULD be.

Wake the Wild Woman
Who is the wild woman?
We all have a wild woman inside of us. The wild woman archetype symbolizes that which is our unadulterated, instinctual, pure, natural state of being. The Merriam-Webster dictionary definition of 'wild' is, "living in a state of nature and not ordinarily tame or domesticated." Our society has taught us ways of being that are counter to our natural wild nature; in short, we've been domesticated and contained in neat little packages.
Clarissa Pinkola Estes says, "The modern woman is a blur of activity. She is pressured to be all things to all people. The old knowing is long overdue."
As women we are often taught to behave and be "nice" and to do everything for others. We are also taught to control and contain the parts of ourselves that might be seen as "too much" "too sexual" "too emotional" "too ______". Our intuition and instinct is often shushed in exchange for more logical, practical thinking. All of the messages we receive (whether from society, media, parents, or even our own egos) about "how to be" creep into our subconscious and encourage us to hide parts of ourselves.
The Wild Woman Archetype is the medicine to remember and honor all parts of our being. She calls us to return to the old ways. We are all at different levels of connection with this inner wild woman. We may feel wild in one area of our life, and chained in another. We might be aware of parts that we are hiding, or we may be traveling through this life unconscious of what lies beneath, just waiting to be unleashed in all its natural beauty.

No matter where you are on this journey, this circle is one of many that will continue to IGNITE the wildness inside of you and help you find the courage to be that which you most naturally and pleasurably already ARE, not what you are told or think you SHOULD be.
Join us to uncloak the wild woman that already lies within you. Through readings, story medicine, and reflection prompts, we will begin to identify where our wild woman is expressed and where she is repressed. The core component of this circle will be an extremely powerful guided ritual of dance and movement to help us deeply feel the worn out roles and areas of life that are weighing us down, and subsequently cast off these layers, revealing our true and wild nature within. The wild woman is waiting for you.

"The wild nature carries the bundles for healing; she carries everything a woman needs to be and know. She carries the medicine for all things. She carries stories and dreams and words and songs and signs and symbols. She is both vehicle and destination...
So, whether you are an introvert or extrovert, a woman-loving woman, a man-loving woman, or a God-loving woman, or all of the above: Whether you are possessed of a simple heart of the ambitions of an Amazon, whether you are trying to make it to the top or just make it through tomorrow, whether you be spicy or somber, regal or roughshod -- the Wild Woman belongs to you. She belongs to all women."
- Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes
