WITCH
Thursday, November 7th | 7pm EST
online via zoom

Join us on the cross-quarter day of Samhain to celebrate this time of year, the Witches’ New Year, and the time of the thin veil. We will move, meditate, dress up (if you dare), and honor those who were executed under the accusation of witchcraft.

Bring a journal and writing utensil, a pumpkin or apple (if you have time), and any objects for your altar that remind you of the witch archetype. If you’d like to dress up as your version of a witch archetype, feel free.

What is Samhain?

Samhain, pronounced sow-en in gaelic, is an ancient pagan festival of the start of winter.

Samhain is the time of the thin veil, when ancestors and the dead are said to walk among us, the worlds barely a whisper apart. This is why we celebrate Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, All Soul’s Day, and more within this window of time.

This festival also marks the halfway point between Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice! This is why although Samhain is celebrated on October 31st into November 1st, the actual day changes from year to year.

This year, it falls on November 6th into the 7th — I hope you can come join us on this most magical day of ACTUAL cross-quarter Samhain.

Who is the witch?

She is the most misunderstood archetype of them all.

Witch is a term that was cast upon women who were unmarried, who owned property, or who were deemed a threat (to the powerful institutions, or to jealous women).

These women were healers, artists, mystics, midwives, those who followed the sacred cycles of the earth, and just average women — daughters, sisters, and mothers.

Misplaced fear swirled through heavy air as innocent, powerful, loving women were accused and murdered.

In this full moon ritual, we honor the women who were persecuted for being true to themselves and being free.

We honor all of the ancestors who have come before us who withstood cruelty to make this life possible for us.

And we HAVE FUN because it’s spooky season!!!!

All of our full moon rituals are rooted in deep soulful inner work, healing, myth, archetypes, magick, and jungian psychology.

We will take time to honor the ones who were accused of witchcraft and killed, name our own prayers and hopes for the future, and celebrate this time of the year.

These circles are a space of love for the highest good of all.

ABOUT THE COMMUNAL COVEN:

This is a circle of wild. A ritual space to be free.

These monthly circles are filled with:
. meaningful creative ritual
. communal spellwork
. deep visualization and meditative practices
. intuitive & guided movement
. profound reflection and writing exercises
. transformative sharing and storytelling

We do the deep work. This is not fluffy. It's not all "love and light" and "good vibes only. "Some experiences are intense. Some are light-hearted. Some allow us to play, be carefree, be wild. Some hit us right where we need to grow. We dig deep into the soul. We excavate our truth from the depths within us. We alchemize our pain, blockages, and shadowinto soul-aligned intentions, manifestations, and healing.

In each circle we use a variety of tools at our disposal such as meditation & visualization, intuitive movement and yoga, writing, art-making, creative crafts, herbal allies, divination in many forms, and other intuitive practices.

Shed your skin. Reveal your truth. Wander free.
