Yoga for School Teachers

I spent six years teaching in the Boston Public School District. I understand the ever-increasing demands and stresses of being a school teacher, and I know that yoga helps. I taught yoga both before and after school to teachers in the Boston Public School system and they raved about how it helped them ease into their day or week with a little bit of lightness amidst the never-ending to do list.

Yoga will create a lightness and space inside your busy schedule. It will bring greater patience and understanding to the interactions with your students. It will help to lower your stress response, even when things feel crazy! You will be amazed at the difference once or twice weekly yoga can do for your overall feeling of well-being.

Helping teachers find peace is a cause near and dear to my heart.
I’ll come to your school and teach in a space of your choosing, either before or after the school day.

Special discounted rate for teachers:
$75 per hour, up to 5 teachers/staff. $10 per person after that.

Kid's Yoga Classes and Events

With my professional experience as a Boston Public School teacher, and the fact that I'm a big kid at heart, I am the perfect fit for kid's yoga classes or events. I have worked or volunteered with students of all ages, from pre-school through high school, and thus I understand how to keep students engaged and motivated in a new task. I've taught both 2nd grade and Elementary Art for 5 years in Boston. Relevant trainings I've completed include Yoga Foster (yoga for the classroom), the Open Circle social emotional curriculum, and additional coursework in mindfulness for the classroom.

I'm in the process of dreaming up some day-long kid's retreats combining both yoga and art. If this interests you, please contact me!

Rate for kid’s classes and events is $150 per hour, up to 5 children. $15 per child after that.
Maximum of 10 children per event if I’m alone, up to 20 children if there’s an adult on hand to help out!

Corporate Wellness

Having spent many years in the corporate world and the Boston Public School system, I have witnessed first-hand the very real importance of a work/life balance.  Physical and emotional self-care is crucial not just for the well-being of the individual, but also for the company bottom line.  Yoga and wellness in the workplace has been shown to make significant contributions to productivity and employee retention. Help take care of your employees, so that they can do their best for the company!

I would love to come to your business and teach yoga and/or wellness practices to your employees. I have experience teaching yoga to both teachers in public schools and to corporate employees in downtown Boston.

No space for a full mat yoga class?
How about giving chair yoga or beginner mindfulness meditation a try. It's just as beneficial and accessible to even more people. I promise it will make a huge difference to your workplace.

Rate for corporate wellness will vary based on location, from $200 per hour, unlimited participants.
